Really great views of the mountains and the canyon sides. The hike gains elevation quickly early on, eventually leading to a fun and challenging scramble. Docked a star because the way down from the scramble is pretty sketchy because of how loose the gravel is. I hiked it at 9am on a sunny day in June and didn’t see anyone going up or coming down, you’ll likely be alone on the trail. There isn’t really a parking lot for the trailhead, it’s a hidden gem for sure!

nice trail. saw a little rattlesnake though and although I wish I was cooler, it freaked me out, especially for my dog.

There is a false trail that gets pretty gnarly!

I only went to the base of the mesa, stopping before the sketchy part up to the base of the rock column. Fantastic panoramic views. Right at the start there is a short but super steep climb up the side of the mesa base, where you will be in full view of everyone in Castle Valley. So, it will be super embarrassing if you slip off the trail, and also not good in other ways.

Great hike with excellent views. The trail is easy to follow for the first 0.9 miles. Then it fades and other paths cross it. All trails track was spot on. The trail up the mesa side is steep, some scramble, fades out and covered by large rocks. There are stacks of rocks marking the trail.

Good hike overall. Our favourite part was the fact there were no other people around. Views were nice. Agree with previous reviews that the path is a bit sketchy towards the top, and the path is not that well marked up there either.

I did this back in April. Great views of Castle Valley. A bit of vertigo at the top. The trail actually continues to the top of the mesa but requires a climbing harness to attach to a cable. Slips would be fatal.

The hike is not long and the walk up wasn’t too strenuous. That said, the trail is narrow with a very steep drop; it will definitely test your nerves but it’s WORTH IT! For more info and details check out: http://livelifemobile.com/fisher-towers-parriott-mesa/

Beautiful and quiet but sketchy footing at top.

The is a wonderful, shorter hike that quickly brings you up to impressive views of Castle Valley. Initially, you have a quick climb up to the ridge, then follow the ridge NW to the base of Parriott Mesa. You then have another steady climb up to the base. The trail eventually kind of disappears, but you can continue around at your own discretion. There are impressive views from the top, and you can complete this hike fairly quickly. An added bonus: pretty much nobody hikes in this area. Enjoy!
