The elevation gain isn't over the top since it has a lot of switchbacks. Lots of mountain bikers so be sure to be paying attention but it is very scenic. We started at park city, topped out there and then took wasatch crest ridge into and out of the wasatch forest. It is a 20+ mile commitment so me and my buddy were both a bit gasses towards the end but emptied out into the canyons resort area and stopped for a pepsi and gatorade. We elected to ignore the last 3 miles of the hike since it would have entailed basically walking on the shoulder of a freeway... I'm not sure I'd call this a loop so much as a point to point. Still a great hike especially if you're working to build endurance!
