Great trail, it is easy to get lost so be careful. Also don’t miss the cave at the end of the trail, great place to stop drink some water and take some pictures. Some technical sections can be found throughout the trail but overall a moderate difficulty.

Great little hike. If the weather is warm, go counter clockwise so you can enjoy some shade on the way back.

Awesome hike! Definitely recommend this one! The trail on here is incorrect if you’re trying to go to the cave, I would make sure you look it up online or look at the map once you get there. It’s about 3 miles to the cave, so a bit longer but worth it!! Definitely do this trail rather than the one that starts on the other side, this one had great views of the canyon that you don’t get to experience on the other one. 10/10!!

Beautiful! We saw quite a bit of wildlife! Quail, a hawk, a rabbit, multiple lizards, and the highlight...a desert tortoise! Not too busy, but we passed a few people on the trail. it got pretty hot with full sun exposure.

We enjoyed this loop. Had to carry our 4 year old a bit, but our older kids loved it.

The first half is the most ‘difficult’ per se. The rest of the hike is quite easy! Direct sun the whole time and mostly dog friendly depending on what kind of dog you have. PLEASE BRING DOGGIE BAGS!!!!!

Great moderate trail, truly enjoyed the hike and amazing views. I recommend walking the trail counter clockwise ending up on the most elevated part of the trail towards the end with amazing extend views. You do cross a few other trails and can turn of course a little bit don’t worry if you are using the app you will be fine and besides you can’t get off track to far without realizing it. You don’t necessarily need a walking stick but there are some uneven areas as you traverse the rocking areas and could find it helpful to have one. Parking is in a neighborhood so please be respectful of where you park so we can all keep enjoying this great trail . Note, at a steady pace with a pause for photos took just over an hour. I did pass one group of horse back riders and there were several tracks from bikes but I will definitely walk it again when looking for the length of hike !

Great trail for beginners transitioning into a moderate hiker. Ran into a few fast moving bikers. Great views. First time in Utah

Great loop Park at Gooseberry trail head ride bike north on dirt road. Turn left at windmill. You well see windmill, ride to it to pick up trails. Go slow dangerous spots!! Scenery magnificent! Easy ride. You will come last look out over mountain bluff pick up up trail marker D&B(Donner and Barrow) go left at marker . It will get pretty technical use your best judgment? It ok to walk bike. You will pick up practice trail stay on it! It will bring you out to White trail wide trail road turn left follow it past White trail head stay on main road. You will run into where you started Gooseberry Trail head !! Great loop, great look out points!! Ride with caution!! Take Go Pro!! Not a loop for racing !!

True to its description, it's an out and back trail (dont let the hoop looking map fool you). A nice short but tough little hike due to the sandy trail you must tredge on and a steep descent/ascent to get to the arch but with a short walk to Virgin river if you want to cool off before you turn back

This was such a great morning hike, 2 hours to complete (with stops to admire views). Hard to believe such beauty is so close to neighborhoods and highways - it feels more remote but is super easy to access. Other posts were right, trails are not super well notated out there, but if you have a good sense of direction you won’t get lost. The challenge is the choice of trails to pick from. The 3.3 miles did not include going to Scout cave - I’ll try that next time.

If you add Scout Cave to the loop shown here, that is going to about double the length of this hike. There are much faster ways to get to Scout Cave if that is your goal. If you do the loop, there is an arch, as well as the nice canyon scenery typical of this area. Also, panoramic views of St George sprawl. Lots of folks on the trails on a Sunday afternoon, but it didn't feel crowded. Make sure you have a map or the AllTrails App (if you can get it to load), because if you don't know the area, it is not going to be obvious which trails will get you back to your starting point. The signage is not helpful. The only shade on this entire hike is when you are in the cave, so don't do it when it is hot.

This hike doesn’t include scout cave, but it does connect. If you pull up Scout Cave Trail separately and map it out. Adds about 2 miles. Moderate hike. No shade, so this is a good spring/fall hike.

Very close to town and convenient. the flat trails are great for a simple walk, or even www.easy bike ride. The Eastern part of the trail is wide open with a few small dips. The Western part of the trail has several opportunities to climb on rocks and go bouldering. This trail should be classified as Easy.

Fun hike and very pretty. The description says, "Lightly trafficked," but we went on a Sunday at the end of December and there were a lot of people.
