This route can be done as either a 3 or 6 mile loop.
Really nice trail. Very interesting formations and both close up and panoramic views (indeed!). The trail is very well marked and in great shape.
Very nice! Went on a windy day. Lost my way by the "cool cave/trailhead" sign and ended up cutting across instead of going with the trail, but it was better that way in the end, as it was an extremely windy day and the trail would have lead me through the most exposed hills.
4 Plus stars. We went early to do the shorter trail. Well worth it! Cool spires. Easy trek. Since it was early, we saw only 1 other person. The little .2 mile spur to the Secret Passage is well worth the time. It loops back in the rocks to a large amphitheater of red rock looking out over the eastern part of the park. The trail is well marked.
This is was a great trail for those that don’t want a super strenuous hike. We opted to do the 3 mile loop since we were still a little sore from yesterday’s more intense hike. It was an overcast day and it got breezy with a few drops of rain the last half of the hike. The best part was that we didn’t see a single other person on the trail! That almost never happens! If I were in this area again I’d start earlier in the day and do the whole 6 mile loop.
I took the left at the fork for the Panorama Point. It’s an awesome lookout This is an easy trail, beautiful scenery, and short to the Point. I did it mid-October so heat wasn’t bad but summer would be very hot. Dog friendly without a lot of pickers on the trail itself!
