We hiked to Wyman Lake and set up our tents for the night. There were a lot of mosquitoes, but we had bug spray and so they didn’t bother us. After dinner, we decided to look for Packard Lake since we missed the turn at the beginning of Wyman Lake. Long story short, the trail to Packard Lake is labeled wrong on this site. As you hike along the left side of Wyman Lake (southeast side), you will come to the end of the lake. Then you will see that the trail heads off into the trees heading south. As you follow that trail (first going south and then turning east), it takes you to the south west side of Packard Lake. You actually come to a turnoff for the Duchesne River Gorge before you get to Packard Lake. There are a number of camp sites at Wyman Lake and at least one at Packard Lake. The gorge is beautiful!!! FYI- The fishing In both the Wyman and Packard Lakes was terrible. No one was at the lakes when we were there and so it was great to have the place to ourselves. It was a great hike to prep for future longer hikes.
