Description
Waypoints (0)

An easy paved multi-use path around a lake with mountain views. Accessibility: There do not appear to be any designated accessible spaces in the unpaved parking lot off of South Jordan Parkway at the north end of the trail. There are at least 4 designated accessible spaces in the paved parking lot marked with a waypoint off of Daybreak Parkway. All of them are van-accessible with striped access aisles. The trail surface is paved (asphalt, cement, or wooden boardwalk with partial edge barriers), and typically at least 5 feet wide. The estimated grade is mostly gentle (5% or less). This trail will likely be navigable for most trail goers using wheelchairs/mobility equipment or strollers. There are benches and picnic tables along the route for resting.

Nice paved loop around the lake. Flat and stroller friendly. This is not secluded though, tons of homes along the trail and lots of people. Pretty views.

One and Done for me! I wanted an easy walk today, so chose this one because I have never walked it before, and it was in driving distance. I drove around the lake trying to find a designated parking lot. There is none. Street parking only. I saw some construction on the North end of the lake that could possibly be potential for non-resident parking, but can't say for sure. For now just park on the street. There are several "entry points" to get to the sidewalk that serves as the "trail". Rated as easy and rightfully so. This walk around the man -made lake is just that, walking on cement. Length is recorded as 3.2 miles, but just walking around the lake, I clocked in at 4.3 miles with 43 feet elevation gain. Maybe the elevation gain was because I walked over a couple bridges? No one or nothing was on the lake today except for ducks, geese and birds. Walk meanders alongside the lake on one side, and houses/townhomes/apts and/or condos/ on the other each having a nautical theme. If you want to get out for a leisurely stroll, and enjoy the sunshine this might be a good choice. Definitely family friendly, with lots of children, bikers, runners and walkers like me.

If your out in Herriman this is a clean residential path around a clean man made lake with ducks and lots of people riding bike walking etc. cute bridges and a few look out spots. Definitely not hiking at all

Lake was really nice but the trail tends to have a ton of people on it and a ton of “residential areas” other than that really nice

Very nice for a neighborhood walk, but not much more than that. Too close to traffic to really consider it a nature walk in my opinion. Well maintained with some fun art and the lake, but portions of the lake aren't cleaned out well all the time.

Highly recommend and beautiful views of lake and homes. BUT- It said it was 35 feet in elevation, but it was actually 111 feet.

Kayaked here the other day. Looks like toxic algae is in the lake. My dog got a little sick even though I tried hard to keep him away. So much construction makes it hard for any quiet time. I’d stay away right now until it’s safe and quiet

More of a walking/running/biking path for locals. Due to the paved path, I was able to do this easily with a sore knee. The lake and wildlife are a welcome reprieve from typical suburban life. The ducks, water, beaches, and park are perfect for families. I loved it!

This is my go to place to walk my dog. I really enjoy watching the birds, and there’s plenty of shade and places to sit. Family friendly. There are doggy bag stations every few yards so cleaning up after your pet is pretty easy

The trails were very nice. It looks like a beautiful community. I hear they pay good money to have the luxury of having the small lake with beaches, waterfalls, paths. However the lake is more like a swamp. The lake is full of algae & weeds, it stinks terribly. Clearly the water is very stagnant. Plus there's tons of gnats & mosquitoes. There are ducks, but there's also duck poop at a lot of places along the trails. If I lived in that community & paid as much as they do I would expect it to be cleaner. Will I do it again? No.
