At first the trail seemed really neat. But, as you continue there is tons of trash and homeless camps. The trail vibe is that it is a place to go to get drunk or high. There are a lot of man made trails off the main trail and they all look like the lead to homeless camps. There are some beautiful growth and it is jungle like. I did not feel safe walking this trail alone. It needs a deep clean.

I live nearby and have been on this trail as part of my running loop. Homeless people and garbage everywhere. I?would not recommend it until it is cleaned up which is likely never.. Not kid friendly.

I wasn’t very impressed with this trail... very very dirty a lot of litter everywhere, very close to the road, and during the hike we ran into a homeless man.. which being with my little sister and we both very small it made us a little uncomfortable and we ended up turning around early.

Decent dirt trail that can be ridden as a stand alone trail or added to the Ogden River Parkway Trail

The trail has potential, and it’s a quick fun hike, but there is a lot of garbage on the trail, and it looks like there are some homeless camps along the trail. Trail would definitely be better if it were cleaner.

My husband and I completed this hike with Scout dog on August 25. We chose to do this hike because was short and had minimal elevation gain, which I needed due to my current knee issues. An added benefit is that this hike is almost entirely shaded. From the reviews I read beforehand, I was expecting this trail to be an ugly and miserable experience. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that yes, there is litter on this trail, but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. We brought a grocery bag to pick up trash, and we filled it with trash from the trail. There was other trash along the sides of the trail but I wasn't able to get that due to my mobility issues. There were a couple places along the trail that had a really foul stench. In one place, it was caused by a dead cat carcass, and in another, the smell was caused by a homeless encampment just off to the side of the trail. Overall, not as bad as I thought this trail would be. Worth checking out if you're looking for a quick hike close to the city.

litter galore, trail right off the road. passed a homeless camp and turned the corner and bumped into its occupants. My daughter and I didn't feel safe walking it and I hike alone tons and never feel this way.

Creepy looking trail. I think there were homeless people liviing in the woods. It is not well maintained, looks like the backside of a dump.

I wouldn't walk this alone. Lots of garbage - things that have been removed from the cemetery on this trail. Camps where homeless people must have lived because we also ran into a homeless guy sleeping in a sleeping bag. I don't even give it one star but I have to in order to complete the review.

First to Review

This trail has potential but really falls short with all the garbage and illegal camps along its path. The trail has lots of old growth and an attempt to make it a better trail is evident. Having that all said the trail has plenty of things to see, wildflowers, trees so large would take three or four people just to hug one. If this trail was cleaned up, would be a great asset to the surrounding community.
