A kiosk marks the start of this trail, just off the Fire Break road. It begins with a fairly steep climb. The trail levels and passes a campsite, then descends to the creek side and continues up the canyon where it merges with the Deuel Creek South Trail

We actually did the Deuel Creek South Trail this morning, and it was gorgeous! Because the trail is along a steep ravine and has some rocks to scale, I'd say only bring kids 7 years old and up. We'll have to try the North Trail another morning!

Hiked the north trail in and it wasn't shaded at all and frankly not very enjoyable until it merges with the south trail at the creek. We took the south trail out and it was really enjoyable with shade, wildlife, and the creek the whole way back.
