Tent Mountain, with the two different summits, is the tallest mountain in Sanpete County, Utah, and in the Wasatch Plateau. This is a fairly easy hike, with the biggest difficulties being that there is no set trail, meaning bushwhacking, and the altitude. Beautiful views of Skyline Drive, Horseshoe Mountain, Canal Canyon, Black Canyon, and the wide expanse of the Wasatch Plateau. Leave Skyline Drive, follow the North Ridge line for North Tent. Summit North Tent, proceed to the Second Summit, and then drop down about 300 feet in elevation to the saddle that sits between North and South Tent. Continue up the gentle slope to the summit of South Tent. Follow the same ridge back to the second summit of North Tent, and then make our way down the southwest face to Skyline Drive.

I have ridden my horse up there several times. It is beautiful but if you are hiking be careful because it is a popular horse riding trail. There is a cool bridge that goes over the stream.

Incredible views of Skyline Drive, Sanpete Valley, Mt. Nebo, Canal Canyon, Black Canyon, and Horseshoe Mountain. Easy county high point.
