Please note that portions of this loop may close due to weather and freezing overnight temperatures. The Navajo Loop Trail drops down into the amphitheater and passes through "Wall Street," a narrow switchbacked slot between sheer cliffs, with towering Douglas fir trees growing along the trail. The trail provides outstanding views of much-photographed Thor's Hammer - a tall, narrow pinnacle with a narrower neck, supporting a large hammerhead-like rock. Looking west from the trail are grand views into the "Silent City" where rock structures resemble towers and buildings and temples. To the east, see the "Temple of Osiris." The Navajo Loop Trail extends 1.3 miles, starting and ending at Sunset Point, with an ascent/descent of 550 feet. Most people take 1-2 hours. For a longer hike, continue onto the Queen's Garden Loop or the Peakaboo Loop, each for approximately 3 miles. Both of those trails can also be combined to create a 6.3 mile figure 8 loop. There are portions of the trail that provide no shade and get quite hot especially in the summer months, but there are also stretches of the trail covered by the shade of rock formations that get very cold. Make sure to bring water and dress appropriately.

Beautiful views. Steep switchbacks but nicely maintained trail.

Heavy traffic but absolutely worth seeing. Steep switchbacks, so be prepared with good footwear.

Beautiful hike! If coming in Late October bundle up and wear hiking boots because is very cold and windy.

Incredible!

I live and work in Bryce Canyon and have hiked all 12 of the amazing trails we have to offer. And guess what? This short 1.3 mile hike is still one of my very favourites in the park. Simply stunning and a MUST do while here.

Bryce Canyon was incredible. It feels like another planet. The trail was moderate, but a tad bit crowded. Go early for fewer crowds on the trails.

Amazing Trail! I was happy to take my wife and kid back to this trail I hiked in Grade School. The trail is quite steep but has switchbacks to make your climb easier. My 3 year did the whole thing himself (probably not a typical result!)

One of the best trails in Bryce!

Steep on both ends. Start with two bridges as the other side is way more awesome views and taking pictures gives you a reason to stop and catch your breath. Be ready to come back dusty. Wear good shoes. I did it with a 30lb baby on my back and kids 4-11 yo. Definitely bring water. It was hot in October with cool winds blowing.

A relatively short trail with a moderate challenge in rapidly ascending and descending. Really special late in the day with shadows.

Took Wall Street trail down and two bridges trail up! Pretty steep but quick and fun hike!

Really fun trail. If you start on the Wall Street end, it's a bit easier as that side seems much steeper to go back up against. Lots of people throughout who were unprepared with improper shoes/equipment and we actually saw someone fall and break their arm.

Nice loop to get you down and round in the canyon instead of just the overlooks. There are a lot of switchbacks and it can be a little steep coming back up. It gets extremely hot by 11am during summer months, and some sections have little shade coverage. This trail was super crowded by 9am, so start early...I got one of the last parking spots. If you have time i recommend you combine it with other trails inside the canyon.

It is very heavily traveled the first couple hundred yards, then the crowd thins out to heavily traveled. Every turn is another breathtaking view.

Nice, short trail. We ran this trail on our arrival day to get a first impression of Bryce Canyon. Good, closed shoes are recommended. The trail was quite busy in the afternoon (around 3:30 pm).

Definitely not as crowded as Zion. Interesting rock formations. Not difficult, some shade, breeze.

This trail was so much fun! We took it counter-clockwise, going down Wall Street first. The hike itself was fun with the tight, step-like switchbacks. Once we got to the bottom, the cave provides a cool shelter and a fun area to explore and rest a bit. The hike then to the other side is very easy (although a bit dull). The hike back up is more traditional switchbacks and is a bit challenging. It provides great views of the canyon once you reach the top. Before it gets too difficult, you're already there.

Hiked down to take pics of the Two Bridges then went up Wall Street for the second time in two days. Worth the effort.

Gorgeous views! Moderate because of the elevation change. Be prepared for a steep climb out.
