Very easy trail. The trail itself is not that interesting especially given all the other trails nearby, however the view at the destination is amazing. Very quiet on a Wednesday afternoon, also was very windy.

The hike itself is pretty easy and uneventful. It is very level and well maintained, anybody should be able to handle it. The views at the end are decent and worth the hike. I wouldn't place this hike on a "must-do" list, but if you have time and energy, it's worth a go.

This trail is really easy but great since it is around 3 miles total. The views are astounding. Got caught in a snow storm on the way back but was still easy to get out.

The rest of the park was fairly crowded, and on this trail we were largely alone on a very good day for weather in mid-April. The setting and peace you can get here is the main draw. Views along the trail are not completely amazing, but this land is energetic to be in no matter what. View at the end is expansive and there is a rock formation that can be climbed safely if you are careful.

We started at 4:00 and didn't get back to the car till 7:00, there were so many different views and the sun changed the rock colors as it set. Passed a two couples while we were walking out, but only one other photographer at the point and not close. So a lovely, secluded walk. Don't be discouraged by the flat bit at the beginning (were grateful for that walking out in the quickly fading light). Be sure to take a light if you go near the end of the day. Cairns on the point itself were helpful, but many places to explore beyond where the marked path ends.

Easy out and back trail. But fully exposed so can be hot. Amazing views at the end and no crowds like other tour bus stops in Canyonlands. Incredibly quiet and peaceful spot. Highly recommend if you want a quiet, easy hike. We did many hikes in our recent trip to 7 Utah parks and this made the top 3 on everyone’s list.

Easy trail and as mentioned, a good “warm up” hike. Once you reach the overlook, look to your left and follow the cairns to another viewing spot.

The hike itself was unremarkable – basically, 1.8 miles each way with no shade and not much to see – and there are better overlooks along the main road. Views were disappointingly hazy in August 2018 from all the fires. Didn’t feel quite worth it.

This was the first hike we did the afternoon we arrived in Canyonlands and it was a great start to our trip. The trail was straightforward and pretty quick, and we only saw one other couple the whole time. The viewpoint at the end is fabulous, and gives a view of the river I don't think we got on any of our other hikes over our 5 day trip. So quiet on the trail, but that seemed to be the norm for most all of the longer trails in Canyonlands.

Easy, relatively flat hike in and the views are incredible. I wept openly and unashamedly at the magnificent sights. We stayed one night, the stars were also awesome!

Easy out and back trail for hikers of all levels. Getting a backcountry permit for the Murphy Point zone is well worth it. camping right on the end of the mesa is an amazing view.
