Steep one. Fun though. Alltrails route doesn't go all the way to the summit so went off path for a bit. Started about 2 hours before sunset and had shade the entire hike.

NOT closed despite what someone else wrote. We did the loop counter clockwise but frankly heading down the last steep pitch of the ridge that connects to BST was unpleasant. Would recommend taking the early left hand fork off the ridge.

Great little trail, but I wouldn’t rate it as Hard though. Lovely with great views going counter clockwise. No snow.

Decent hike, not overly steep throughout but steep enough for a good workout. Way down was wide out in the open, so if it's very sunny you're going to be baking.

Fun hike. My wife and I hiked this about 4 years ago and forgot that we were in much better shape then. Our pup loved it at it took us about an hour and 45 min. The face of the mountain is steep so watch out.

Right now, no snow, no mud. If you go to the top of Mt. Van Cott, it's more like 1,500 ft of elevation gain.

Great view of the city and surrounding mountains! This should definitely be rated as difficult. The trail was straight up in some sections.

Hiked this with a friend but since everything is unmarked, there was no way to know if we were on the trail. We certainly weren’t but we made it to the top eventually. It took 5 hours and a little less than 7 miles out and back. My friend and I hiked down some rocky ridge trail, which was much quicker than going up. Definitely a hard trail. Also there’s a parking area down Red Butte Canyon Road.
