This hike has lovely flowers in the spring and striking leaves in the fall. There is parking available at the bend in the road where the trail picks up. Mountain bikers are common on this trail as well. There is a bridge about halfway through that goes over a small stream. It is usually dry by early summer. It isn't unusual to spot deer or humming birds.

Road this trail with my children many years ago. My wife dropped us off that the top and we road downhill to the Affleck Park Campground
