"Off-road driving" must refer to something that isn't jeeping or off-roading with an actual vehicle. I have a 5.9l V8 Jeep with a 6" lift and 35 inch tires and this was one of the worst trails I have ever seen. The trail was, put pleasantly: brutal. The trail wasn't just rocky, it was like driving on loose shale with soccer-ball sized rocks and jagged outcrops throughout that ensured a terrible ride both up and down the trail. Hiking would be a nightmare on this trail as well so look elsewhere for that. The end of the trail also had a bunch of really low hanging trees and the trail was overgrown which is sure to scratch up any vehicle. I guess there may be some appeal for ATV or Razor-type vehicles but even then it would be an incredibly unpleasant ride.

This was quite the 4x4 trail. A lot of activity due to Opening of Deer Season. Road does get rougher the closer you get to the top. Had a blast enjoying the Fall afternoon. Taking Providence down was a very challenging ride down. Great Area!

This is a great trail for ATV's and horseback riding. Lots of wildlife (deer, elk, wild turkeys, moose) and great scenery. Watch out for rattlesnakes in the summertime. They just improved the road so it's not quite as treacherous as it use to be. From the top you can see wilderness for miles and miles.
