Mill Creek Trail is a 1.8 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Moab, Utah that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
This popular trail winds through a beautiful canyon eventually reaching several small waterfalls with swimming areas. Beware, after the first swimming hole, the trail gets much more difficult to follow. The route on this page has the hiker stopping at the first swimming hole.
gorgeous but definitely can get crowded. wear waterproof shoes as you have to cross the creek many times. water was so cold my legs were getting a "brain freeze". we had to be back otherwise we would've explored more. if you decide to go past the swimming hole there is a lot to explore. great place to bring the dogs to swim and cool off as there are many points you can dip in
We so enjoyed this trail. Went up the steep rocky part at first, wandering a bit before finding the trail. We then ran east to the end of the trail near a road, then went L/North to the creek. We then followed the creek trail all the way back. What fab rocks and scenery, all with a great trail to run on. A few creek crossings and a bit of scrambling, but nothing bad, and a fun fun trail to run on.
double stats because didn't start recording until on our way back from cave found glyphics on the walls in Cottonwood Cave with note have to camp here in summer in cave
your feet will get wet, some spots of scaling rocks but beautiful waterfall at the end
I could not find a way to cross the creek after .7 mile because the creek is too high.
Super cool! Little slippery on rock with wet shoes. Lots of opportunity to get in the water. Nice trail.
