Mostly used as a bike trail. Had to step off the trail frequently and watch for speeding bikers. Half sun, half shade. Not very scenic.

Not a lot of shade, start early. Great trail, not too steep. Beautiful views.

Gorgeous views of the valley. Picnic table at the end by the lake. Easy with kids if you only do there and back.

Road this morning and came upon two female moose just off the trail around 7:30am, just before Art Nord

I walked about a mile in today from Snowbasin road. We had some rain today so the trail was snotty with mud and not a lot rocks for your boots to grip but otherwise a very nice trail. I came face to face with a group of wild turkeys on a corner. This trail has a lot of oak brush so not a lot of shade areas. I will attempt to go the distance next fall when the weather is dry and cool temps.

Beautiful trail that takes you through three different settings. Tons of wildflowers. My 20 lb dog could do it in 3 hours so it’s fairly easy. Great to add the icebox canyon for an extra mile and tree coverage with water the whole way!

Awesome trail with several options. You can keep it easy or add in hills. Dogs loved the river BUT there are a lot of dogs so leash is necessary. Parking is limited.

Snowshoeing

This trail is one that I keep coming back to for moutain biking and snowshoeing. It is also a great trail running course. It's enjoyable all year round. It also connects to other trails in the Art Nord and Snow Basin networks of interconnecting trails. It is the early third of the Xterra MTB course. I like to shed a pound or two by adding the Wheeler Creek Middle Fork making it a round trip. There are latrine restrooms at the Art Nord parking lot which is about half way.
