This hike is definitely not kid friendly. The amount of bikers on the hike were way more than hikers. All of the bikers we crossed were super friendly though & polite but with how many there were we definitely had to be super on guard with the kids we brought along. Some places didn't have very much room to pull to the side for the passing bikers. I also wouldn't bring any kids younger than 7 years because the down hill decline on parts of the hike is pretty steep with little texture to help you walk down without slipping. Since the trail is all downhill one way & up the other it's definitely hard on kids. It was a beautiful hike & detailed well with signs but the bikers do make it less enjoyable if you are just wanting to hike.
