this Trail is one of my favorites, it's true that it is a light traffic Trail, and in the middle a little hard to follow. there are river crossing that add to Adventure. wear long pants and waterproof boots for navigating some swampy areas. this Trail is a little confusing at the beginning in Weber Canyon, one Trail starts at the top of a Private Road owned by the Mormon church, there is a Trailhead at the County Road that is difficult to spot. Trailhead from the road is about 150 yd past the gate for the Mormon Church Campground or you can park at the gate and walk up the Private Road about three-quarters of a mile to Aspen Grove trailhead. definitely a great Trail for those looking for The Road Less Traveled.

Could be a great trail as the canyon is a great run of diverse alpine ecosystems. Unfortunately, due to a lack of use and maintenance, the trail is in very poor condition - particularly in the middle third. The trail is consistently overrun with several years of fallen pines, river crossings are difficult, and for at least a half mile the trail completely disappears. Hopefully the forest service gets through there soon as this canyon could be an amazing part of a Unitah backpacking trip.
