Good workout hike! After the first switchbacks there’s a nice mellow part and then it’s uphill the rest of the way! Beautiful views at the top! Went Thursday morning at 7:30 and only saw 3 other people!

HikingGreat!

Coming from the East Coast that is just about at sea level this moderate trail was particularly tiring for me. I went at 2pm on July 3rd and although there was a lot of vehicular traffic, hardly anybody was on this trail. I also ended up in the sun a lot which resulted in a sun burn. Steeper at the start, then gradual incline the rest of the way. Lovely views along the way and the one at the top, in my opinion, is beautiful. I spotted a few places where a tent could be set up for camping or you can backpack further and intersect another trail to keep going.

Great trail! We started just after 10a with two adults and three kids, ages 10, 8, and 5. First part was in the sun, but majority was in the shade. The overlook itself isn’t that great, but the hike was with a continuous moderate climb most of the way. Our five year old pooped out halfway on the way down and had to be shoulder carried.

Overall, it’s a nice trail. The trail follows the stream which makes it cool and towards the end it is a steady incline but not steep. The overlook was nice but there are better overlooks in this canyon.

A nice little after work hike. Somewhat narrow trail with a moderate steady grade and some switchbacks, just a little over a mile to the overlook with a nice view of the mountain peaks in the area. Pretty quick and not very crowded on a weeknight.

Nice hike, not too crowded. Mostly shaded, but I would still hit the trail early since the canyon gets very crowded around 10am

Nice trail. At the top it is serene and you get a wondeful view of the mountains. Hike is awesome too. You can feel the temperature dropping if you go late in the evening. Overall, one of the best experience.

Really fun, diverse path. Shaded the whole way. We started the hike at about 5:15 PM and didn't see many other people. The look out is so rewarding! Adding this as a favorite.

Great hike for kids wasn’t bad at all. Beautiful waterfall at the beginning and then a river along the first little bit of the mountain. Hiked to the stunning outlook. Went a little farther and then headed back down. Not much after the outlook

A little hard to find the split due to rocks blocking the turn off. We passed it up and had to turn back. This was short and with awesome scenery and views. When I have more time I want to go further on the main trail to see more!
