Wonderful trail, has a little bit of everything on it. Absolutely no snow as of now. The lower half of the hike up to the falls has very heavy traffic and most of the path is extremely narrow. You will come in close contact with others, so take that how you will given the current pandemic. Beyond the first falls, though, you pretty much have the mountain to yourself. I wish I had brought bug spray as there were a lot of mosquitos near mile 4. I brought poles, which were very helpful but not crucial. I left at 6 and got back at 1. I wish I had left earlier to spare myself from the afternoon heat and crowds. It is true that the trail forks a lot and it gets confusing where you’re supposed to go. I’d highly recommend downloading a map from this app to guide you—it helped me find the right path several times. Additionally, the cairns are very helpful, especially in the rock field where you’ll be doing some scrambling.

Started around 7 AM on a leisurely hike with the intent of heading to the upper falls. This trail can get super busy but wasn’t too bad on the way up. Passed 20 people (yes I counted). Once passed lower falls, the only thing I encountered was a dear. Trail narrows significantly once past lower falls. Rocky climb with some flat spots. You reach the upper falls when the trail turns to the right at a huge rock. View of the upper falls is just before it breeches. If you are steady/comfortable climbing down some rocks, you can follow the falls down for a ways. I perched myself atop a very large boulder and took in the sights and sounds of the falls.

Difficult hike but very beautiful! The kids did it with some complaining. Waterfall is gorgeous and very large. We’ve done this hike many times, sometimes only to the reservoir, and we always love it!

Great trail. Great shady areas. As you get closer to the falls the stew rocky area was a little touch but totally worth it! And so many other trails going other places along the way. May need to be marked a little bit more.

Crowded and narrow but that really isn’t annoying. Final climb to waterfall is pretty steep and rock.

As to be expected, Sunday was PACKED. Get there by 9am at the latest on a weekend to avoid the masses. About 200 yards of ice just below the turn off to the falls. Everyone was able to make it up with out any traction devices. I gave this a 4 star because of the crowds and teenagers blasting their music from speakers. We passed about 6 groups with music blasting and even 1 group of teens smoking a J on the main trail.

Simple easy hike. The beginning is the hardest part. The "natural" stairs are a pain in the ass but once you're past those, you have some good amount of switch backs. Once you get to the lake it's all easy nature walking. Theres a lot of little trails throughout the place. I'm excited to go back and explore a bit more. We went at 10:30am on a Wednesday. Not too many people so it's easy to keep your social distance
