Very nice and shaded areas. Great for a morning hike. Nice all the way and very very easy :)

Someone called this trail ‘boring’ and I had a good laugh to myself on the trail while I was taking a zillion pictures. No, it’s no Bryce, but it was not crowded, you can camp at the trailhead, there’s a water source (albeit minor), and a decent amount of shade. Definitely trafficked mostly by horses (my dog unfortunately, loved rolling in their poop), but easy trail to follow. Tons of cairns and if you look at the map, you are just following the riverbed the whole way then turn around where the trail splits at an area to tie up horses.

A little mud, lots of horse droppings. Mostly level hike alongside or in the wash. Multiple crossings of the thin stream running through the wash. Went out 3 miles to the corral at the junction with the Cassidy and other trails and came back. A couple groups on horseback and two other hikers the whole time. Scenery is pretty nice, but not quite as good as Golden Wall or Thunder Mountain trails.

Sites all along this trail were gorgeous. Horse trail was muddy and so we opted for the creek bed. Hard hiking on rocks...but better than slipping and sliding through mud.

Spectacular views of red hoodoos, contrasted with brilliant patches of melting white and sky blue. Snow over 18” deep at upper end, dry at bottom. Creek easily crossed with dry feet. A lovely, casual hike.
