A wide gravel road except through Pucker Pass where it is narrow and steep. Except when damaged by heavy rain, this road is suitable for stock 4-wheel-drive vehicles.

On April 30, 2017, going up was as torn up as I've ever seen it from the hanging rock tunnel up thru pucker pass. Only high clearance 4x4 and possibly locker at this time. Very deep rutting and rocks for an off camber ride. Bad weather and EJS has taken a toll on this usually tame road.
