Lizard Lake trail (Forest Service trail #069) is a short connector trail between the Nebo Loop Road and the Rock Springs trail, which then connects to Lizard Lake. Of note is that Lizard Lake is really just a mud-hole most of the summer and fall. In very early spring there's water in it, but not much. There's no actual lake along this trail segment, but it's an easy little hike through a meadow then aspens and a few evergreen tree stands, then connects to Rock Springs trail. To reach Lizard "Lake" turn right (east) at Rock Springs trail and continue for about another 1/2 to 3/4 mile. If you're looking for nice, easy trail into the forest that's easily accessible from the road this is a good one to try!
