Really short and easy for kids. Little lizards and squirrels all over for them to enjoy.

HikingGreat!

We did this hike beginning of August. the hike to the waterfall was super short. from there we set up a base camp And there were some family members that stayed there, others went scrambling up the the left of the waterfall to try and climb above, others followed the waterfall down a ways to see where it led. we had a 5 and 7 year old. the hike was perfect for them. the scramble to the left they loved, but definitely needed adult supervision, there were a few tricky parts. there are also some rock climbing spots, 3 for sure, but maybe more, we didn't come this time for the rock climbing. the kids loved splashing in the water. It's a perfect day trip with other hikes nearby to explore, or even if you just have a few extra hours to spend!!

short nice hike. if you can rock climb there's a pool of water at the bottom of the very top waterfall. if you're over weight or out of shape it can be hard but lots of places to stop and rest. lots of people not wearing mask though and don't give you space at all

Beautiful rock side waterfall. Easy hike. Perfect for families with young children. For the more adventurous, you can hike/scramble to the top of the falls. It’s a great place to stop and eat a snack, play in the cool mountain water, and enjoy the mountains.

Some loose rock and unusual parking but expected cause ya know, mountains. Beautiful scenery and would walk it again. Lots of people were out on 07/12/2020, at 5:30pm, not a mask in sight if that matters to you.

Pros: pretty waterfall, quick hike, nice canyon scenery, mostly shaded. Cons: big rocks on the trail, lots of people, not the most spectacular waterfall in the area

More scrambling and steep than I thought there would be for an easy trail. I almost turned back because the riverbed (creekbed?) was completely dry, but the falls were still flowing. I was the only one there at about 7:45 am. I parked on that side of the road and did Cottonwood Creek on the opposite side, and when I came back just before 10, it was absolutely MADHOUSE, so definitely get there early.

Fun, little 15 min walk there and back. Water is freezing, but gorgeous and fun to play in. Gorgeous views and the best mountain fresh air. Perfect family place for a picnic and playing in the water.

easy trail, very rocky so be aware of that, the falls are pretty but there isn’t much water! pretty cold water as well but very nice to step in and cool off in, shaded which is great, not super busy but it is used for rock climbing as well. great trail!

This is a short hike perfect for even the littlest hikers! My almost 2-year-old walked the entire way. The waterfall is beautiful and the giant granite rocks at the falls are perfect to play on. The trail is also mostly shaded. A great hike for a hot day!

Great, really short trail up to refreshing waterfalls, definitely good for kids of all ages. Now, For the more adventureist/skilled...(not the kiddos) Keep climbing/scrambling to get above the falls and higher on the mountain. parking can be a bit tricky if arriving mid to late day and especially on weekends. early bird gets the spot;)

its a short hike, but nothing special. waters not deep enough to cool off in, water fall doesn't spray enough to get wet. don't get me wrong, it's beautiful, but not worth planning your day around.

Such a great little stroll to the falls. Easy trek all the way up. Very rewarding for little effort. If you are able you should definitely climb up the falls where the maps gps leads. Amazing views from above. One of my favorites. Not very crowded when I went during the week.
