From Heber City, take US Highway 40 east 69 miles to Duchesne. Then tate SR 87 north 14 miles to Mountain Home. Rock Creek trail-head is 22 miles northwest of Mountain Home on Forest Road 134, a dirt road. The trail-head is on the right near upper Stillwater Reservoir

Only hiked the lower and upper end of the trail. Most of the trail follows the rive so until you get to the upper end of the drainage you don't see much except for river, trees and the trail
