Not really a hike, this is a viewpoint.

More of a short walk to an overlook than a hike. Great views looking toward Zion's main peaks.
I would definitely re-assign the hiking level to EASY.

Nice view from the top looking down into the main Zions Canyon. Since this just appears to be the trailhead and not the West Rim Trail to the bottom of the canyon I'll just say I can't wait to until I come back and hike to the bottom from this trailhead.

Great day hike with a spring to replenish your water. We started at Lava point and hiked to the Wildcat Canyon trail head and back. It looked like an old jeep trail that has been over grown and many rock falls. The trail was easy to follow and plenty of views of Wildcat Canyon. The spring was right on the trail that gurgled through a lava talus beneath a thicket of ferns and some stinging nettle. Once gaining elevation you will see North Gate peaks to the left. You will meander through pines and take notice of the candelabra looking ones. You will soon see Russell Gulch. The trail will fork with the North Gate Peak and Subway trail to the left. You can turn around here or continue to Kolob Reservoir Road. or continue to North Gate Peaks before turning around. There is no crowds and plenty of wild life and flora to see.
