This is a multi-day trip that starts at the Lake Fork Trailhead near the Moon Lake Campground. It includes climbing two major passes, Red Knob Pass and Dead Horse Pass.
Hiked to the wilderness ranger camp the first day. Not much to see until the upper part of the drainage. Climbed Red Knob pass then Dropped down to Dead Horse Lake a beautful lake. Then Climbed Dead horse Pass. now I know why it's called dead horse pass. Not a good trail for horses. Camped at Rock Lakes in Squaw basin the last night. A couple of small but beautful lakes and returned back to camp the next day via the Ottoson Basin Trail. Fun loop
