Beautiful drive. We had to take a detour via Sandy Dune road. We found the alternate route had very interesting rock formations. The temperature dropped 75 degrees before we started heading back down. I was a welcome relief.

Absolutely beautiful views. In April some of the side roads were still snow packed. It is away from the crowds in Moab.

Another very scenic drive. I have driven this loop many times, sometimes I start out near Ken's Lake, and sometimes, starting in Castle Valley. It is good in either direction. If you go in the autumn, the leaves are beautiful. And in the winter this provides access to fun spots, to go tubing or sledding in the snow.

This drive was beautiful, and surprisingly quick. It has it all, from the monuments in Castle Valley, to snow covered peaks (I went in October) in the La Sals. The drive was very worthwhile, especially for anyone that may not be familiar with the area, as you'll see a lot of areas you may want to dive into and explore a little more.

The La Sal Mountain Loop Road is well paved, even for a passenger car . Many side trails and Jeeping destinations are located off this road. This road has viewpoints including overlooks of the beautiful Castle Valley, Arches and the Canyonlands national parks. You will find cottonwoods, aspen groves, mule deer, and forests of fir and spruce. Me and my sons Ron and Bob have done this loop trail many times, utilizing it to get to various Jeeping destinations. A must do in Moab.

Beautiful drive through mountains. Aspens, running streams, deer, and camping spaces. There are mountain lakes and losts of wildlife. It was nice to get away from the heat in Moab.
