Kuntz Flat Trail is a 3.1 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Payson, Utah that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from May until October. Horses are also able to use this trail.

Scenic trail through aspens, pines, and meadows. Take Santaquin Canyon gravel road about 1/2 mile from Nebo Loop road to marked trail head for Rock Springs trail. Follow Rock Springs trail downslope about 1/3 mile until Kuntz Flat trail forks to the left. Some short but steep switchbacks then heads down to Kuntz Flat meadow and stream. A short ways down from the meadow the trail intersects with Sheepherder Hill trail #099. Downslope nearly the entire way to the Sheepherder trail. Moderate incline back up to starting point except a few hundred yards of steep switchbacks.

Take Rock Springs trail from gravel road about 1/3 mile. Kuntz Flat trail veers to the left (NW) and heads down hill towards a very pretty meadow and trickle of a stream. Trail continues past Kuntz Flat to intersect with Sheepherder Hill trail #099.
