Bring poles, they help a ton on the steep stretches of this trail.

Great trail! Overgrown past the river crossing but will be beautiful in the fall! Great wide path, and ample parking.

The majority of it is in the sun, so it’s pretty hot! But the view was extremely pretty, there were lots of flowers, and if you hike far enough you can see a little river. Other than the heat, the hike itself wasn’t too hard!

The views were incredible and give a unique vantage point of surrounding ranges. Lots of wildflowers. The hike itself was tough with several long steep stretches and quite a bit of overgrowth. In early July there was stinging nettle everywhere and lots of bugs. This would have been much more comfortable in pants.

Highly underrated trail. Very well kept and challenging with diverse scenery and then some of the best views northern Utah has to offer.

Great way to explore Emigration canyon and see this side of Salt Lake! Take Old Miner's Trail via Pinecrest Canyon Road. The trail is well maintained and moderately used by the local population. Great snowshoe I'd imagine, but was not necessary on this trip. Had to navigate through a little bit of off kilter snowpack which made it a bit of a challenge. Near the "end" of Miner's trail you'll have to go off trail slightly to connect with the trail leading up to the ridge for the highpoint/knob. I may or may not have got off trail ... Be careful and remember where the trail connects on the way down ...
