22nd St to Hidden Valley Trail to Taylors Canyon Trail and looping back to 22nd Street trailhead
Trail dry and in great shape right now. Don’t need any special equipment.
Fall colors have mostly faded, but trail is still in great condition.
Not bad but will go Counterclockwise next time so is is easier to run down. Much more rocky in the way down going clockwise
Coming down Taylor is a bit rough but still beautiful and still some great colors!
Beautiful time of year to go, so many fall colors. Some areas on the way back are loose, easy to slip but a wonderful hike. Definitely hard in terms of incline on the way up if you are trying to trail run, but totally worth it!
Top of hidden valley down is great. Steep but beautiful. Start early with hidden valley to have the shade of Taylor's on the way down. Some loose rock and sand, but overall good. The part between hidden valley and Taylor's is a bit over grown, but the trail is easy to follow.
This is a great loop trail. The transition trail between Taylor Canyon and Hidden Valley Trail is pretty steep but doable. Taylor Canyon is mostly tree covered while much of Hidden Valley is exposed. If starting in the morning I recommend going up Hidden Valley although both ways are nice. Bring a straw - there are several springs along the away!
Great trail, rewarding view, beginning is a bit tough if you start clockwise, but not bad at all once you get to the top
This is a great loop trail that is somewhat hidden and so lightly traveled. We started from the Taylor canyon side and loved it. At about 2.1 miles from the start there was a spring bubbling up right in the trail. Tree covering about three-fourths of the loop. Definitely some steep climbs. A few water crossings that are no big deal. Plenty of wildflowers.
Very fun, less crowded than the main trails in the area. Gorgeous views with a lot of wildflowers right now.
We loved this hike! Highly recommend going up Taylor and down Hidden Valley as Hidden Valley is much steeper. There are two spots on Taylor you have to cross water without a bridge, but it wasn’t deep and there are enough rocks to maneuver. This hike has it all and is a wonderful escape. In my opinion it’s the best one on the West side in Ogden.
