Incredible views at the Hat Shop. Started at 7 am and not a soul the entire round trip. Stunning to watch the sun hit the hoodoos.

HikingGreat!

Nice trail, we did this because Peekaboo was closed d/t ice. Good hike down and up, good incline up, not too steep but does get your heart pumping. Just a beautiful area and we only saw 2 people the whole time on this trail which we loved!

3/4 mile in you get a view thats pretty good without the crazy elevation gain / drop. At the end it was quite windy but very nice views looking down on the hoodoos

no need to go much past the Hat shop. The best view is from just past it looking back.

This is the first 2 miles of the Under the Rim trail. You're literally hiking 2 miles downhill to see a few balanced rock formations, and then 2 miles uphill back to the trailhead. the best part of this hike is the vistas about 3/4 to a mile in. the rest of the hike is just ok. you get a much bigger bang for your buck hiking any of the other trails at Bryce.

Cool to walk through the hoodoos. Strenuous hike. Left at sunrise and no one else was on the trail.

Fun. Easy way to it. Going back was the hardest. All up hill. Still a cool hike.

Lots of loose rocks so if that bothers you, this may not be your trail Not much shade on the upper portion. We continued to the campground which was about another mile into the woods. Nice hike. You will see interesting hoodoos at the hat shop and parts of the park hardly anyone sees. Only saw 4 other hikers. Start early-not a hot afternoon hike

Lots of balancing rocks. A unique look of hoodoos in the park. I did it in the morning with partial shade. Took forty minutes to hike to them and two hours to get out.

Amazing hike. Spectacular views. The trail is well marked and easy to follow. The first 3/4 mile is covered in up to 2 feet of snow. Mostly with a frozen cap but some areas are soft and you post hole. The next mile is mostly clear of snow. The last quarter mile is snow and mud

A truly beautiful trek with the otherworldly views that Bryce is famous for. The best Hatshop photos can be had if you take the trail a few hundred yards beyond the AllTrails turnaround. Did this on a Saturday and saw maybe 8 people (even though I waited about 10 minutes for a parking spot). The only reason this does not hit 5 stars is I did Navaho and Peek-a-boo loops 3 years (almost to the day) ago. Those loops brought you up close and personal with God’s artwork - at a price of a touch of congestion - making them even more breathtaking.

I thought this was a great, less popular trail despite the mediocre reviews. I hiked this on a busy Saturday evening in the park and somehow I was the only soul on the trail - took me 2 hours to complete. The hat shop hoodoos were quite iconic in my opinion and worth a visit if you can fit it in your schedule. The only thing I will say though is the hike back up is quite strenuous on the legs and if you're not used to the elevation yet, you might be huffing and puffing alot. It's a workout for sure.

The trail itself is unspectacular, but the Hat Shop is really cool. Definitely not a hard trail, but I'd recommend going later in the afternoon unless you want to get some sun.
