Easy, right along the road that the shuttles run. Not too much to see on the way

HikingGreat!

The groto is just OK nothing special. I would suggest to start on the Groto and then go onto the lower, middle and upper pools trails and then get on the Kayenta trail to end up back at the shuttle. If you do this hike then it is pretty awesome.

Easy hike with pretty views! I would recommend combining it with the emerald pools trail. We started at Zion lodge and came up through lower emerald pools to upper emerald pools and then took the grotto trail down to the grotto lodge! Not the most amazing hike but worth doing!

This trail almost got 2 stars, but honestly its beautiful. The good thing about this trail is that it's really pretty and exciting. However, its really packed with people who don't really have much outdoor experience. I saw many people making things dangerous for everyone else by trying move past people(while wearing unsafe footwear) or trying to get photo apps in areas directly above other hikers. If you take other hikers out of the equation this could easily be a 5 star trail however.

Easy hike from stop 6 the grotto to stop 5 Zion lodge just to skip the shuttle’s. If your not a hiker this qualifies as “we hiked Zion”, of course if your not a hiker why would you have this app. Lol

This is basically an easy walking trail between The Grotto and Zion Lodge. Easy option in lieu of the shuttle.

@AllTrails: The title image is incorrect - please fix it. Update: Most of the images are part of Angels landing and not Grotto trail; you can start that hike from the Grotto stop for the shuttle. The 1.2 mile hike till Grotto is not the one those images represent. Now, being fair, it’s not a bad trail at all - it’s just an easy walk from the Zion Lodge to the Grotto trailhead (or the other way) from which Angels Landing starts. Not a bad one for 1 star - but have your expectation set of a nice evening walk under the tree shades with giant orange mountains surrounding you.

Very easy, short trail to connect Zion Lodge to the trailheads for Angels Landing and Kayenta. Better alternative to walking on the road, kids will find it more fun with a chance to spot wildlife on the way.

Great easy little trail to get your legs pumping and prepared for climbing the emerald trails. It was nice to have the bathrooms there at the end as a last moment pit stop before the ascent. If this is all you want to do the bridge at the end has great photo opps.

6/6/2020- Definitely recommend to anyone. Was worried that the trail wouldn’t be as good due the closed chain section, but it was amazing. The chain section is only the last .5 section at the top. You still have plenty of great views from the top. Very strenuous hike, but it was a good quad/leg day workout.

Very small unimpressive hike. Would be great for kids. Now that Zion is getting so full so quickly, this is an easy way to get from the grotto parking lot to the start of the Kayenta trail without walking on the road.

Great little “trail” / walking path from the Zion lodge parking to the Angels landing trailhead. We enjoyed the easy walking path that allowed us to park out of the main lot since we got to the trail a little later than desired. Added a mile or so overall and was a nice cool down from the mountain.
