Great trail for training do to easy access and lots of vert in only a few miles. The thing I liked the most about this trail is it is straight uphill. Make sure you know what you’re getting into. 2L of water should be plenty. Don’t forget sunscreen. The earlier you can start the better due to the heat and sun.

pretty amazing view but Maybe not as amazing as I would have liked for how steep it was.

Great trail with amazing views. Bring lots of water and stable trail shoes recommend.

Very uphill climb consisting mostly of switchbacks. A good portion of the trail is the same view as you ascend higher, but pretty nonetheless. The view at the top is nice, just come prepared with lots of water for the climb.

It would probably take Alzheimers or dementia setting in to get me to do this one again. Pretty brutal and relentless, but rewarding. I started at 7:15 am, but starting 30 minutes earlier would be better.

Great way to beat up your legs if you aren't in good shape! Great trail but super sustained steepness! This is best done in the early morning before the sun is up or when the sun is going down as it is all exposure. If you do this trail at night with headlamps you will see dozens of glowing eyes watching you (deer). You also see Jerusalem Crickets on the trail at night. If you bring hiking poles your quads will thank you on the descent.

Great hike. Beautiful views. Definitely a very hard one, but so worth it.

I do this 2-3 times/week for training purposes and it's one of my favorite ways to get in a quick sufferfest :)

Good mountain to get a good pump going. Gets hot on sunny days with almost zero coverage from the sun. Bring plenty of water!

I just wanted to say... to all of the people complaining that this is a steep hike, did you even look at the stats? No *** it's a steep hike! That's the whole reason people go up this trail, because it is a large amount of elevation gain in a very short distance. If you wanted an easy hike then you should've picked the living room. k... /rantover

Beautiful summit, but grueling ascent with very little respite. Will likely only use the east trails out of Millcreek Canyon in the future.

Trail is dry and clear of snow all the way to the top. 75 degrees in the valley and pretty warm on the exposed trail, bring plenty of water. Even the summit was t-shirt weather. Maybe bring some bug spray, plenty of bugs and horse flies.

I did not like this hike. The view from the top is great but very steep and difficult on the D send each step I felt like I was about to slide. The wildflowers were pretty but between there being no shade, highway noise, dog poop smell.. I will not do again!

This is a very steep slog that just isn't fun. Could be good for training, but there are so many other hikes that are enjoyable in the Wasatch. If you want to do this peak, Church Fork is the way to go.

Beautiful views but like other people have mentioned, very steep. Lots of different wildflowers.

Very steep, though 90% non-technical. Little bit of snow at the top Saturday. Trail in good condition all the way up. Great training trail for summer mountain races.

Just finished the hike, and the trails in good shape! Definitely some nice steep portions that blow up your legs going up and down, but not too difficult throughout. 4 stars not 5 because you're right above the highway most of the time so not exactly in "nature".
