Getting There

The Grand Parade Loop is a 1.6 mile flat loop trail. There is a box canyon along the route that can be explored. The trail is typical southern Utah red clay, so if there's been any kind of rain or snow recently, the trail will be muddy.

Grand Parade is a loop trail located in Kodachrome Basin State Park. There is a paved road leading to the trailhead. Picnic tables are located at the trailhead, and vault toilets are located a short distance up the road at the next set of trailheads.

PO Box 180069 Cannonville, UT 84718

From Cannonville, Utah, take Kodachrome Way south until it turns into Cottonwood Canyon Road. The entrance will be on your left, just before Cottonwood turns into an unpaved road.

We rode this trail in horses. It was a beautiful trail lots of ascends and descends. We lucked out weather wasn’t too hot and it was overcast. Bring water, sunscreen. If you ride horses use long pants.

A good trail if you’re looking for something quick and easy with views of some cool rock formations. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come to this trail but it was acceptable as a little add-on to the day.

Simple trail with many wildflowers in bloom. Be sure to visit the two slot canyons on the way, you will find many Utah Elkweed (Frasera paniculata) blooming this year! We were thrilled to have the chance to see these spectacular flowers. Other flower include cactus, yellow flax, sego lily, a few different vetches, and cleome.

Some cool box canyons and the spirals were pretty cool to look at. The trail was pretty easy but compare to other hikes pretty dull.

Fantastic for a 4 year old. We let her lead, it was sunny and cool - Easter weekend. We set up a picnic in one of the box canyons and played hide and seek.

Interesting trail that goes into two different box canyons. If you want a medium length trail this is the one.

I hiked this trail in winter, and it was a muddy mess. It appears that the trail goes through a wash, but during winter, it's frozen solid and very slippery. I wish I'd been wearing my boot chains.
