A very enjoyable hike starting out as a ramble along the Fremont River and orchards and then climbing up to a beautiful view of the fold and Fruita.

Really easy trail - the only dog friendly one at the park. I went here in February, the temperature was in the 40s, but was warm in the sun. Because it was off-season it wasn't crowded - in fact I was the only one there (on the trail).

The park is beautiful - worth seeing. I wish I had camped out there or got a cabin and did some more trails.

The steep climb is fun. Stopped to pick fruit in the orchards on the way back.

The 6 mile drive on the up and down dirt road was harrowing. The trail was pretty easy; prepare to have wet feet. Very neat place!

First half is good for a stroll, second half is a good hike. For our 5 year old son was it a good distance.

Trail follows the Freemont river near the campground and orchards. Its very easy for the first 1/2 mile along the river. Then climbs up to a valley overlook where there is a great view of the valley.
