Lovely hike, not too strenuous with beautiful panorama all throughout. Not much shade so make sure to bring lots of water, hats and sunglasses.

This trail was a surprise in scenery. It was lightly traveled, which is a plus for me. The view at the end was like a Grand Canyon in the making. The views from Johnson Meadow were equally good as I could see the "reef" of the park in all its colorful glory. It was a hot afternoon and I was thinking about quitting but a couple who were returning from the end encouraged me to go on. It was definitely worth the effort.

Outstanding view of the Fremont George. The trail start out steep. Then levels out for more that a mile then climbs steeply again to the view point. Hike in early morning to avoid the heat.
