I love this hike. Good medium distance hike with some steep that gets your heart rate up. We met tbe elderly gentleman that has put the flags up since 2001. He was doing trail maintenance today. What a guy!! We did the loop that finished at a road with new houses. We saw a total of eight people besides ourselves.

A pretty steep hike but so pretty. I would suggest doing this hike in the morning so it’s not too hot. The trail down is different than the trail up but easy to follow. Could be marked a little better but overall, great!

A moderately difficult trail with some awesome views. Would definitely recommend as a morning hike as there is not a lot of shade but the sun won’t come over the mountain until about 3 hours after sunrise so it will still be cooler.

Very Patriotic Hike! Steep, vertical incline to the top. Recommend early morning or evening hike. Take plenty of water as there is NO shade. Happy Hiking!

Pretty neat trail overall, we took it really slow since it was pretty steep and my little frenchie struggled to keep up in some spots. Beautiful views, but definitely a morning or evening as there is limited shade. Bring lots of water!

Good trail. Do not do this mid day. This is a hike for morning or evening. The sun is so hot and no shade on one side of the loop. Being flashlight for the mine it is a must

We didn’t do the full loop. But we made it to the flag and to Patsy’s Mine. The kids enjoyed it a lot. Pretty good climb. But not super long.

This hike is a great workout. It's pretty steep, and you will definitely get some good cardio work done. I like going up the Northern trail and then going down the Southern trail. The Northern trail is the better of the two for shade and hiking when going either up or down. The view is incredible. Not an easy hike by any means, but the trails are quite nice.

Happy Mother's Day hike! This is a moderate-hard hike, elevation gain is quite a challenge and almost non stop. Wear a good light shoes with ridges to prevent from sliding, quite a few narrow one person only trail. Bring 2-3 water. Not too crowded. Reached the flag and came down the same trail and did not follow the trail anymore as it will climb up another 100ft, my legs can't handle it anymore. Or maybe im just not too fit! lol But it was really a nice hike!

It was a very good trail, but I would also recommend going out and back the north side. Coming up the south side is difficult and there is not much shade. Bring at least two water bottles per person because you need to stay hydrated. A very beautiful view at the top

Neat hike. You can explore the mine a little ways in (watch your head). At the top someone explained that the Flag was put up after 9/11 and is same height from trail head as the height of the fallen twin towers. I recommend out and back using South side instead of a loop because it has you walking through a neighborhood near parking.

Hiked on Thursday 23 April. Great trail for sunset. Beautiful views the entire hike. The trail is very narrow in some areas which make it difficult to social distance when passing others. There are several routes to get to the top. I followed the AllTrails path to Patsy Mine and Flag Rock then came back down the way I came up with no issue.

It was a great hike! Take the south side trail, going north will go through the neighborhood at the beginning. Other wise, it is a fantastic view!

Super steep and very exposed. Great workout uphill, but some young kids may not make it the whole way. Bring a lot of water especially if you have dogs.
