Definitely a bit more than a moderate hike! Steep and rocky terrain for more than half the hike. Wear good treaded shoes. I do not recommend hiking it alone. Took us about 2 hours. Happy Hiking!

Nice extension to the full Ferguson Canyon or as a stand alone hike

I didnt find this hike hard. However, there are loose gravel type rocks going up a steep incline along with lots of big rocks along the trail. Very cool going through the canyon and seeing the boulders. It goes along a creek with a couple small waterfalls. About 3/4 of the way in you get into the jungle. Very tight trail through the green lush then you climb up dirt/rocks to the viewpoint.

Great hike

Beautiful trail, not for the faint of heart. Plan for longer than you think, as the trail is tough terrain.

For the first half mile the trail is moderate, but gets insanely steep after you finally crossover the river. Not sure why it’s rated moderate because you need poles and really good shoes with grip going up and down. Lots of loose dirt and gravel. Beautiful view through most of it. Also, the trail seems to not be kept up considering there is a massive amount of graffiti everywhere including on the rocks. Damn kids.

This hike was much more difficult then I anticipated, not sure why it’s considered moderate and not hard. It’s a little difficult to know if you’re on the trail or not. It’s a fairly steep incline the entire way up, a lot of rock climbing, coming down was much more difficult. My dog and I completed the hike with a massive bruise and broken finger. Definitely recommend you have good traction shoes and poles if you have them. Still had a good time just be prepared.
