The hike was great and weren’t too many people out. Meet some nice people with sweet pets which is always a plus. The last mile is tough. Spike and trekking poles helped. I agree with a recent review about the tip top view being obstructed with trees but the Mountain View get on the way there and back will make up for it. Promise.

Beautiful views! There’s a good amount of snow so bring your spikes. Kind of a blocked view at the top, but it’s so secluded and just a nice hike. Very little parking though, plus it doesn’t help that half the people park in a way that they are taking up way too much space. Lots of cute dogs and all off leash. That’s fine with us, but some people might not be fans.

Amazing views the whole way. Beautiful snow capped mountains. The last quarter mile is slick and covered in snow; trekking poles or boot spikes would be helpful. Once you’re to the end of the trail, take a right and go up about a tenth of a mile for beautiful canyon views.

Not a bunch of snow but the last half mile is pretty steep and my crampons came in handy for the way back down. The top of this trail is an intersection to two other trails. FYI

HikingGreat!Snow

This trail was so beautiful with all the snow. The view at the top was unreal. We went on a Sunday at 1pm. Saw only a handful of people. The snow was about knee height but the trail was packed down well. Crampons definitely came in handy on the way down.

Beautiful views, nice fall colors (although fading), and not busy this past Friday, 10/23. Didn’t finish the trail because I heard a strange animal call and then saw a black bear - decided that turning around was the best bet!

Perfect time to hike. All the overgrown parts have died off and the weather is beautiful. Came across one baby tarantula on the trail but otherwise quiet.

This was a nice trail, it was TOUGH at the end, like other posts mentioned all the elevation saved for the end. Want to come back for sunset

it has some lovely views. good to be able to get in a quick hike in the evening. starts off pretty flat. saves all the elevation gain for the end. then it's pretty steep.

Well kept trail. All the down trees from last weeks wind are already taken care of and there were dozens! Don’t let the overall elevation fool you, there are a few very steep parts but the view from the knob is great.

It's worth the extra mile each way to do the Knoltown's Knob trail. I saw 3 Elk on that section, less than half a mile North of where this trail ends. Easy trail, mostly flat until a steep soft section at the end. Great scenery.

This trail is so pretty! We hiked late August so most of the flowers were gone, but it was still beautiful! Every part of the trail was something different, almost as if you were in northern Utah one moment, southern the next. It does get steep the last little while (1/2 mile?) so wear shoes with at least a bit of grip. Not a lot of parking at the trail head, only a couple spots. We started later in the evening, too, about 5:30p, so we had really nice levels of light the whole way instead of roasting in the sun.

Very nice trail. Fairly flat at the beginning but turns steeper towards the end. There’s not a lot of shade so during the summer you might want to go during the morning or evening.

It was shadier than expected, we went early though and it was hot coming down. The first part of the trail to the creek is pretty easy without much incline, but the short steep increase right after the creek is pretty indicative of the later much steeper inclines to come if you go all the way up the the ridge line. The views up top to the right side of the split at the top are really nice. But the trail is very overgrown and not well traveled.
