The trail is snow-packed and very slippery (icy) with a few muddy spots. Easy to follow with some nice views of mountain scenery. The signs call it Mueller Park Trail. There's no mention of Elizabeth Rock Trail anywhere. Maybe I'm missing something...?

This trail is fine. It has some really nice spots. The stream is only at the very bottom. Lots of bikes and the trail is often pretty narrow. It has the typical powdery dirt of mountain bike trails. There is no cave on this trail. Maybe there is if you hike straight up 800 feet up to cave peak. You should not do this version of this trail though because you really need to go one more mile to get to elephant rock to make it worth it. I am hoping there is a trail that does that in all trails or someone should make one. It is not steep though, so it is just a nice walk.

I think we have a new favorite. This trail just keeps going, but none of it was steep. There were cool breezes, some warm sunny spots, a running stream, and courteous people. Lots of bikes, but they slowed down and announced themselves. The leaves are turning color Not a ton of dog poop, and the bags we did see we took out with us.

Jeremy and Beth morning jaunt to Big Rock. Started early to avoid the sun. Passed about 50 people, half on bikes, most of them on their way up.

Lots of down trees from the wind storm but the trail was cleared. Beautiful views and not too busy from 8:30-11:30 on a Saturday morning.

I would rate this hike as easy. The elevation gain is so gradual, you rarely come across anything steep. The only technical part is actually getting to the top Elephant rock. Don’t cut yourself short and not climb to the top of the rock. Over all, very shady, highly trafficked, and relatively easy for all ages.

Great hike! We went in the morning around 8:00 am, and it was the perfect temperature. Never actually found “the cave,” but my dog and I loved it!

We really enjoyed our hike but I would definitely recommend doing it in the morning at this time of year. Even though it’s shady about 60% of the time, the 40% that it’s not is a bit brutal. Also if you’re doing it as an in and out. There’s not really a designated top or end so I wasn’t really sure where to turn around.

Pretty easy incline.A little bit rocky and kind of dusty. Lots of bikes. 70% of it shaded the rest are gaps of open areas

Fantastic trail for a run! Just beautiful! I started about 6:50am 8-1-20 and it took me about an hour 23 minutes plus a quick stop to enjoy the view. Lots of cyclists. I'll do this one again!

Nice trail lots of friendly bikers. Lots of shade on most of the trail with some beautiful views of tree covered mountain and Farmington bay below. We did not find a cave.

Well Defined trail. Easy to get to. Good for kids. But they were quite a few mountain bikers to dodge. Nice trail and the view 2 miles up was pretty.

After parking on the street take the wood bridge on your right just before the fee station. Quite busy around 11-12 so get there early. Shady trail through the forest. Nice even on a hot day. Dogs allowed on leash. Many mountain bikers but mostly respectful. Dry trail, can get dusty - recommend good shoes. Easy trail without being too easy.

Gorgeous views, tons of shade. Lots of mountain bikers, best to go early to avoid crowds. Not hard at all, but my 8 year old dog sure was tired by the end of it!
