Pretty easy hike, and you can go to Lake Mary too. There was no one else at Dog Lake. Very beautiful and fun to explore.

Great reward at Mary’s and Dog Lakes. Sit still enough at Mary’s Lake and you might see some wildlife.

Loved it. Beautiful weather. Saw 3 deer, lots of chipmunks, a weasel with a mouse in its mouth, 1 grouse. A moose calf on the ride up.

Wow! This was so fun and challenging at the same time. My husband and I took our 4 kids ages 10, 9, 3, and 1 up. Took us a minute but we made it.

very accesible hike, bit I prefer the ones a bit north and west of this one just off of Brighton Loop. Denser trees over there.

HikingGreat!

This is a lovely trail, well marked. Suggest you add on the extension to Lake Mary since it is so close. There were other people on the trail on a weekday in late September, but it was not crowded. We had a lovely lunch by the lake. Not many of the other people on the trail were wearing masks.

Two thumbs up. Parked in Brighton parking lot but walked hwy 190 to start from Silver Lake Visitor Center. And take the loop from that direction. Began around 745 and very few on the trail. Coming down into Brighten parking lot around 1030, starting to get crowded.

This was a lovely wander that still had its uphill gain. Brighton is really beautiful, with it peaks, cirques, and lakes/reservoirs

Beautiful trail to several lakes. Beginning and end of hike through the ski runs and lifts. Lakes were the highlight. If photographing, lakes would be best in morning light. Not much fall colors right now.

This is a wide and very busy trail depending on the time of day. We hiked it on a Friday morning before 8 and it wasn't busy at all. Heading down at 1 pm (we hiked sunset peak and took our time) and it was very busy. This is in Big Cottonwood Canyon and is watershed so there are no dogs or swimming. It's drinking water and contrary to the name, there are no dogs here.
