Please note that that is not the trail TO the Delicate Arch. That trail is elsewhere in the park and can also be found on AllTrails. The route on this page takes the hiker a short distance to a beautiful overlook where you can see the Delicate Arch in the distance. This trail is rated as "easy" because it is short and not strenuous. If you go in the winter, it's important to note that this trail has numerous places where people leave the trail to take photos, and these vantage points can be icy and slippery in the winter. Details: Length: 100 yards (91 meters) round trip Time: 10 to 15 minutes In addition to the short accessible trail, another (moderately strenuous) hiking trail climbs one-half mile (0.8 km) toward Delicate Arch and ends at the rim of a steep canyon that separates the viewpoint from the arch. (This is not the popular trail to Delicate Arch, which starts at the Wolfe Ranch parking area.)

A nice hike for my lazy ass, not wanting to go the full way up. This is the arch featured on Utah plates

Fun short hike, but not easy for kids. The climb at the end was steep and too much for our 4 year old, esp after she had walked up to North Window earlier in the morning.

Nice little hike to get your first taste of Delicate Arch, but don’t settle for just this!! Go see the Arch up close! Reasonably strenuous with enough steps and rocks to go up to a view point to see the Arch,

If you can complete this trail with somewhat ease, you can do the actual Delicate Arch Trail. The viewpoint just offers a few views from below, the best perspective of the Arch is from above, up close.

Short and steep but a great view

It's a good hike that is primarily uphill to the top and then down hill back to the trail head. Due to the rain, the rock was a little slippery. The view of Delicate Arch was not great and not what I expected. Recommend doing the trail that leads you directly to the Delicate Arch instead. However, if you've had a long day and want a nice short hike, this would work.

Nice to get a few photos from below the Delicate Arch. Not much of a trail, drive up, take a few pictures, and then proceed to the Delicate Arch trail head to get up close to Arch.

Hope you have a powerful zoom on your camera. Different perspective on delicate arch is nice but it looks far away. If you can do the hike to the upper viewpoint without great struggling you could probably do the delicate arch trial it's just a lot more distance.

Quickest way to view delicate arch. Absolutely love the view, very pretty.

Incredibly easy trail. More of a walk, rather than a hike. The view of the arch is so far. Hard to comprehend how large the arch is from this far away. Pretty well-maintained and accessible.

The view is far, it's better to just do the delicate arch trail.

A decent hike but the view is slightly underwhelming. Going back in the morning to hike the Delicate Arch Trail instead of just the viewpoint.

Our kids were little at the time and it was a great trail for them. Next time we will definitely explore more places!

Though this trail is nice, there are way better trails this park has to offer. The view of delicate arch isnt as great as you would wish. I recommended this trail if you have kids or elderly folks with you

Very easy hike, but perfect for the littles. It was fun to see the Delicate Arch from this viewpoint. Probably won't go back to this trail but only because the kids are getting too old for these easy trails. Time to step it up!

Crowded, straight up stairs the whole way, and an underwhelming view of delicate arch

Did this hike after going up to the Arch. This trail gives you a different perspective and view.

Easy hike but view is pretty far away

A great view if you aren’t able to hike to the arch. If you are able though, definitely hike the actual arch. For such a short easy hike though, this one is worth it.

So many people actually said that if you can do or have done the Delicate Arch trail that this trail was a waste of time and boring. I went in with those thoughts, but actually was pleasantly surprised. It's kind of nice to see this different view of the arch and the cliff face on the other side that you don't see from the actual trail (which I have done twice in the past). We spent close to an hour on the trail, much of it walking around at the view point. Keep in mind that when it rains or sleets/wet snows, the trail can get muddy, messy and slippery like it did on this day.

You are still pretty far from the Delicate Arch, but even so the trail has some good views.
