Great trail! Parking was full, so we parked on the overflow dirt road... added 2 miles round trip. Trail is well maintained and not overly crowded. Beautiful views every 3 steps... hard to beat it.

Did a loop from Wall Lake around to Cliff Lake. Gorgeous lakes and a wildflower paradise. Stunning views in every direction throughout the entire hike. Some elevation gain but nothing difficult. Want to explore more in this area!

Great trip to Clyde Lake today with my dogs. There was a slight amount of mosquitos near the lakes. A lot of mayflies that might be confused for mosquitoes. The trail is mostly dry, with a few minor soupy muddy spots and a couple small patches of snow. Don’t forget the use fee or get an America the beautiful pass as that works as well.

Snowshoeing

There is still snow blocking the road to the trailhead just after Mirror Lake. We we able drive through some of the snowbanks and get to Washington Lake but there were no parking signs along the road. We parked at the stock parking and walked 1/5 mile to the trailhead. Still a lot of soft snow covering the trail. Approximately 95% of the trail is covered. Snow is very soft making snowshoe very desirable to keep from post holing as many non-snowshoes were doing. Snow was wet and heavy so if you want to keep your feet dry wear very good waterproof boots.

Trail was snow packed and had no problem following it. Beautiful hike, needed an easier hike after 2 days of moderate / hard hikes, this was perfect!

Great hike. If you follow the AllTrails map for this hike, it sends you on the “Lakes Country Trail 216” which is marked. Its a bit confusing since it takes you past other lakes, but is a great hike past 3 lakes different gorgeous lakes! Took a 9 and 11 year old and was a great 3 mile in and back hike.

We hiked this trail on September 30th, it was 37 degrees and snowing. The trail was a little messy from snow days earlier, but beautiful, scenic and very enjoyable. We will definitely visit this trail again, perhaps in the spring.
