Difficult hike but worth it. The fishing was awesome! We only saw a couple people in 3 days.

Best fishing! Grayling in Big Dog, Brook Trout and Cutthroat in Kidney and Island lakes. There is a road into Big Dog Lake, 4X4 only and is very rough. Didn't see any other hikers in 3 days on 1st trip, 2 horsemen on 2nd trip out. Heading out again this weekend, photos to come.

Good climb and quite a few lakes near Brown Duck to visit if you have the time. Its possible to make an extended loop if you have a base camp here.
