I would NOT recommend the down hill section (Bobsled trail) to hikers. This is a down hill mountain bike path, and could be pretty dangerous if you were hiking and had encounters with a bike. We saw 2 parties of bikers, both of which we're pretty perturbed at our being on the trail. Lot better options to hike in the foothills than this.

This section of the trail is more for downhill bikers than hikers (watch out!), but it is pretty. The idea that this hike is called a loop is a bit of a misnomer. It’s only a loop if you park like a mile from the trailhead and walk up an ungodly steep, winding road for the first part.

The first part up (going clockwise from the Alltrails start position) is a great hike. You can actually start way up where the street stops, rather than walking through the neighborhood. At the tight curve, there's a heavy downhill part, then the "bobsled trail" which is actually a mountain biking trail. This is a great biking trail, but not so good for hiking or dogs.
