Really cool trail! Lovely views the whole way up, nice smooth, moderate grades make it feel easier than the mileage would suggest. I was all alone up there today and got a bit of snow which was totally fine on this trail. Mildly overgrown in some sections, but no biggie. The trail is easy to follow but is unsigned- keep this app open or have a map for trail junctions.

Backpacked at the saddle overnight and loved it! The way up is beautiful, and the most difficult parts are the switchbacks at the start of the trail and the switchbacks going up to the peak. The views are stunning, and this is a popular one for bicyclists and dirt bikers, so please be polite no matter your activity and share the trail! Keep an eye out for mountain goats near the top, and during the night, we had a pack of coyotes howling and whining about thirty feet away from us!
