Beef Basin OHV Trail is a 13.5 mile lightly trafficked point-to-point trail located near Monticello, Utah that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for off road driving and is best used from May until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Best on bike once you get through Indian Creek. It’s a two thousand foot gain to Cathedral Rock and the Salt Creek Canyon Trailhead. If you are hiking/running into Salt Creek, the trailhead is hard to find. Use mileage and the Park Service map to find it.

Rode this trail on a motorcycle many years ago from the end of the road in the Needles District of Canyonlands through Bear Ears pass to UT95 highway. Sometimes the road is impassable because its steep and rocky in places. But not much of a problem on motorcycles
