Gorgeous! Seriously gorgeous. Recommend parking at Deer Valley Resort and taking Silver Lake Express lift to trailhead. It’s beautiful and a fun way to start. The only parking we could find at the trailhead was $30 at Silver Lake Lodge so price wise it didn’t make a difference to park for free at Deer Valley and pay for scenic ski lift to trailhead. We took Sterling Express lift back down. Well maintained. Pretty busy but it was a Saturday.

We went up Silver Lake trail and down Ontario. Silver lake was steeper but the views were well worth it, it was also more open/less wooded. Ontario is more gradual and more shady. Liked Silver Lake more but both were good moderate hikes.

Love this! Challenging uphill and pretty views of the reservoir. It was hard to find the trail head (by the road) and we wanted to come back Ontario but also couldn’t find it.

Beautiful views, very good moderate hike. Even better on a cooler day.

Really well maintained trail and easy to follow. Beautiful views along the way although I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for solitude, after all, it's on a ski resort. With that being said, I really enjoyed it. Our hiking party was me, my wife and our two boys, age 13 and 14. None of us had an issue completing it. The rating of "moderate" is accurate.

It says moderate and I found it hard. It’s one hour of steady incline. Now we were tired from doing the Iron mountain the day before. And we were going quite fast. The terrain is very nice and the view is AMAZING once at the summit so totally worth it!

hiked this trail 9/13. great shape and a great trail. went early (about 10a), and only saw one other group on the way up. 6 or 7 on our way down. well marked and kept. first 2/3rd mostly shaded, last 1/3 get above the tree line so no shade. round trip was 2hr 30min, with probably 30 min of stoppage time along the way. trail head is past the lift on the left. hiking poles probably weren't required but definitely helped - and they had a bin of them at the bottom to borrow.

Trail nicely marked beginning at base of silver Lake chairlift. Nice in/ out of trees for 1st half then fairly open. Last 600 feet of elevation is a good steep push. Very solid hike.

Great trail. Fairly steep. Tons of shade. Highly recommend. We took the chair down due to time constraints but would have walked down Ontario.

Gorgeous views at the top of Jordanelle, Heber and Midway. Pretty flowers and an occasional chipmunk sighting. We hiked it mid-afternoon; good mixture of sun and shade. Trail is well-marked. No bikers. You will not be disappointed.

Trailhead was a bit hard to find, but I asked for help. Fairly steep dirt incline through forest with some switchbacks. Hit some loose/slippery dirt but overall was a moderate hike. Some trail markers weren’t very clear, but we figured it out. Gorgeous 360 views were totally worth it. Was lightly traveled too so nice and quiet. Recommend going early—much of trail is exposed and it can get hot.

I did this trail twice I loved it so much. I'm from Houston - sea level, so it was tough, no bikes on the trail, and you can ride the lift down for free from 10-5... Well marked. Took me 1 hour 20 mins the first time - some photo and rest stops. Took 1 hour the second time with no stops. Heart was pumping the whole time. Saw a couple of beautiful birds - I think Western Tanager.

The views on this hike were magnificent!! The first half mile is really steep switch backs, but the trail levels out somewhat as you climb. Bring more water than you think you need - the trail is exposed most of the way. You can take the lift down for free, but it’s a bit dicey if you’re afraid of heights.

great fun trail. the trail head is hard to find and the start is not well marked so can come off trail easily. the second half is easier to follow. there are great views starting about a mile up. it is a moderate ascent and descent. recommended.

Definitely not an easy hike due to the incline, but the views are exceptional! Especially with the fall colors. I was thinking of taking Ontario Trail down, but opted for the lift which offered a good view as well.

Great trail. Mostly wooded and gorgeous views. Hiked up Silver Lake trail to Bald Mountain and then back down via Ontario trail. Took a solid 2 hrs. Personally I feel this could be a moderate hike due to the elevation gain. Would definitely do this one again.

One of my favorite hikes near Park City. In between easy and moderate with beautiful views on the way up and at the top. Also like having lunch at Royal Street Cafe after the hike.

I can't believe more people have not reviewed this Trail it was absolutely stunning! There's no way that it is easy, I would rate it at least moderate as it's uphill in some areas. I hiked up this Trail and then took the Ontario Trail on the way down. It was an incredible hike. Highly recommended.

Great views once you get to the top. It’s really hard to find the trail though, so we ended up hiking around 6.5 miles.
