Short easy stroll to several interesting rock formations at the half way point down the Arches National Park main road. I climbed to the bottom of the rock 73ft easy climb Easy paved 0.3 mile loop walk to a huge 3600 ton boulder perched atop a spire support, typical of formations in Arches NP. Try to fathom how the rock got up there in the first place and how much longer it will stay, or if it will fall in the near future, similar to the fate of Landscape Arch further down the road.
Nice little stroll shows off the amazing geological balancing act
Easy walk to the formation. Good views to the East as well. We caught glimpses of the clouds lifting off La Sal Mountains revealing fresh snow.
easy loop. starts out paved, then trail moves on to the rock. scenic view. restrooms short distance up dirt road across from balance rock parking lot.
Very short and easy hike to see the balanced rock formation, which is pretty cool to see.
Visited again today and did some new hikes back to some more arches.
amazing sight. super simple hike
Nice short hike - definitely worth the 15 - 25 minute stroll.
Very fast hike around the rock. Great warm-up to the rest of the hikes in the park.
